FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where should we stay?
Because this is a celebration for Kunal's 50th Birthday, all guests are asked to stay at the host resort Dreams Bahia Mita. This ensures, that the group can share meals and drinks together or maybe even experiencing an excursion as a group. Kunal has set aside a block of discounted rooms (minimum 3-night stay) at this resort and when you are ready, please make your reservation through our travel coordinator MarieSam

When should we arrive?
If you've traveled all this way, we'd love for you to make a vacation out of it and join the party as early as possible. The room block is available as early as August 3 to 8, 2026.

Are kids invited on the trip?
Famliies with children are certainly invited  -- Dreams offers tons to do for families with children of all ages to enjoy, including a kids and teens club and a waterpark.

What do we do about transportation in Mexico?
Shuttle Transportation to and from Puerto Vallarta International Airport to our host resort is included with our group block rates. You just need to share your flight itinerary with our travel agent so she can schedule your pickup and drop off once you arrive in Mexico.

What time can we check into the resort?
Normal check-in time is 3pm. Per the resort's new policy effective August 2, 2025:
In order to continue to provide the experience guests and members have come to expect, effective immediately, the following changes have been implemented to the check-in procedure at Dreams Bahia Mita Surf & Spa Resort.

Standard check-in begins at 3:00 p.m. local time. For guests wishing to check-in early, a fee of $500 MXN per adult 13 years or older and $250 MXN for children ages 3 – 12 will be enforced. Additionally, for guests bringing a car who wish to check-in early, a flat rate of $50 MXN per vehicle will be implemented on check-in day.

Upon arrival and payment of these fees, guests checking in early will have access to all amenities on property, including restaurants, pools, and activities. Guestrooms will be assigned at the resort’s earliest convenience but are not guaranteed until 3:00 p.m. local time.

What is the weather like? What should we pack?
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico is typically hot and humid throughout the year -- temperatures are usually in the high 80s to 90s. We recommend bringing light summer clothing and swimsuits. Other helpful essentials include sunblock, insect repellent, water shoes, swim coverups, flip-flops, sunglasses, etc. Think beach vacation with beach elegant attire for the Wedding Day and beach chic attire for dinners on the other nights during your stay.

How do payments work when there are multiple people sharing a room?
When multiple guests are staying in a room together, they will all be listed on the invoice and each person can submit their payment for their share. If the 2nd or 3rd person drops out, then  the room rate would be adjusted for the updated occupancy and the remaining occupant(s) would have to pay for that difference.
